PE and Sport Premium

Physical Education and Sport have a high profile at St Stephen's. 

Mrs Devitt is our curriculum leader for PE. She is responsible for the development of our PE curriculum and takes a lead role in organising the wide range of sports, clubs and opportunities for physical activity across the school. Mrs Devitt also works alongside the senior leadership team to make effective use of the additional funding given to schools by the government to raise the profile and standard of sports and PE across the school. This fund (the PE and sport premium) is designed to support schools to deliver on the government's commitment to ensuring that children and young people have access to at least 60 minutes of sport and physical activity per day, with a recommendation of 30 minutes of this delivered during the school day.
