Computing
At St Stephen’s, the purpose of Computing education is to equip students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a technology-driven world. The curriculum integrates technology throughout various subjects and includes explicit lessons on digital literacy, information technology, and computer science. The aim is to foster confidence, competence, and creativity while promoting responsible digital citizenship. By building on prior learning each year, students develop a strong foundation in computing, including internet safety, coding, and problem-solving. The use of various devices and platforms supports the development of transferable skills and ensures students are prepared for the evolving digital landscape.
