Geography

At St Stephen's, we teach Geography in a way that allows children to foster a curiosity and a deeper understanding of the world. Our curriculum encourages children to explore diverse places and the interactions between physical and human processes. We want to equip them with the knowledge, vocabulary, and skills to investigate geographical issues critically, express well-rounded arguments, and engage in fieldwork. Our lessons are planned in blocks, ensuring progressive learning and inclusion for all. By using the local area and resources, Geography is made relevant, and children are encouraged to reflect on their own and others’ identities, developing respect for diversity.
