Religious Education

Religious Education at St Stephen’s enables pupils to explore faiths and traditions within modern Britain and the wider world. As a distinctively Christian school in a diverse setting, the curriculum fosters deep reflection, questioning, and personal spiritual development. Using the Diocese of Blackburn's 'Questful RE' and Lancashire 'SACRE' schemes, children engage with Christianity and other faiths through visits, creative activities, and enrichment weeks. RE promotes respect, moral reasoning, and informed discussions about faith, preparing pupils to navigate today’s multicultural society with understanding and empathy.
