Salvation Army - Courageous Advocacy

Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

As a class in RE, we talked about the importance of helping others. Our discussion lead to talking about the homeless people in Preston. We wanted to make a change, so we gathered ideas. One child suggested that we could make 'blessing bags' which include essential items and could donate these to the homeless people in Preston. As a class, we donated lots of items, enough for 5 blessing bags. The Salvation Army came to collect these.

In the Summer term, we donated more foods to the Salvation Army. We are so proud of the children and parents for their generosity.
