Art - Impressionist Inspiration

Our Art topic last half term was The Impressionists. We looked at various artists including Berthe Morisot, Claude Monet and Mary Cassatt and the techniques they used to produce their work. Using different mediums, chalk and oil pastels and watercolour paints, we tried to replicate their brush strokes to show movement and light in water and our landscapes. We experimented with cold and warm colours and looked at reflections on water.
